This is my first post on lupica.be. I’ve been meaning to start a blog for a while now, and here we are.
Why a Blog?
A few reasons:
- Documentation for myself - I often solve problems and then forget how I did it. Writing it down helps.
- Sharing knowledge - If I struggled with something, chances are someone else will too.
- Portfolio - A place to showcase what I’m working on and what I’ve learned.
What to Expect
I’ll mostly be writing about:
- Kubernetes - Deployments, troubleshooting, and best practices
- Homelab - Self-hosting services on Proxmox
- Home Automation - Home Assistant, Zigbee devices, and automations
- Infrastructure - Networking, tunneling, and everything in between
The Tech Stack
This blog itself is built with:
- Hugo - Static site generator
- PaperMod - Clean, minimal theme
- GitHub Actions - CI/CD for automatic deployments
- Caddy - Serving static files on my VPS
- Pangolin - Secure tunneling for external access
The whole thing is version-controlled and deployed automatically when I push to the main branch. No manual deployments needed.
